our weekend | festival of nations & brasserie

Monday, August 29, 2016

We had a fun weekend full of festivals and very good food. I'm still thinking about everything.

Here's the rundown of our weekend:
Jordan's parents were in town so we made a delicious homecooked meal at home & ate outside friday evening.
Saturday they graciously worked on our yard, and it looks beautiful again, thank you! We rested and then headed to an arts festival here in town. Later Saturday evening we drove into St. Louis for the Festival of Nations, which has all sorts of yummy food and items from different countries. We were saving up for dinner, but still tried a few things, everything looked delicious! We also had fun walking through Tower Grove park for the first time.
For a late evening dinner, we went to Brasserie by Niche & i'm now feeling ready for our trip to France.

Here's the camera roll from Saturday:

Matcha shaved ice from the Japanese stand, two of my favorite things combined. yum.
our crew
jordan's parents
ruby and our new friend, artemis, who just moved to the states from Cyprus.
a delicious Argentine corn empanada
some little glimpses of st. louis
she's so big, i can't handle it
the sun was setting and it was a gorgeous evening to dine outdoors

phew, it was a good one! what did you do this weekend? any festivals or good food as well?
