it really is summer, it feels like our days are not right if they don't include some kind of cold and sweet treat. we went to get ice cream with friends in broad ripple at brics. it's located right along the monon trail, and it's a lot of fun to sit on their patio and watch the people go by. it's always crowded and lively. and they also serve ice water with ice cream, who doesn't like that? jordan and i, well mostly me, are really picky when it come to choosing a favorite ice cream place. i'm still on the hunt, but this one might be close.

there were so many flavors to choose from, so i of course was the last on to order, weighing out each option and making sure to taste test and get the best one.

they were running a special of 5 scoops for 5 dollars, which turned out to be a lot of ice cream. i knew it would be too much for me and thought about asking jordan to share, but at that point they were already scooping the flavors he picked. i could tell he was really excited, so i went for the chocolate covered cherry, a childhood favorite. i'm glad i did, because it looked almost too beautiful and classic to eat, but i ate it. and it was delicious. i also got to have some of jordan's as it was too much for him. win win.
