we got to be a part of playing with out niece, evie in the snow for her first time. it was a blast to see how much she loved being outside in the snow. i think the last picture is hilarious, she makes the best faces. we would pour snow over her, and she was always unsure, but after this photo she had a huge smile on her face.

just look at those two. what a funny combination.sweet evie next to the very close and sleepy cheetahs. when we ran the indy mini marathon we ran right along the zoo. the elephants were right along the edge of the street we were running on and we were able to see the baby elephant! it was quite the motivation. i was glad the baby elephant was out this time, because the last time at the zoo it wasn't there. i was starting to think that maybe i was imagining a baby elephant. the dolphin room was a fun to get away from the heat, and watch some fun dolphins. we hung out in here for a while. i could watch those dolphins all day, it looks like evie was quite mesmerized by them too.
