after our trip to the bronx zoo we headed over to hoboken, new jersey. we walked by carlo's bake shop and soaked in the great view of the new york city skyline from over the river. we had dinner right across from it at little town, we were all so grumpy from the heat, that we had a marathon lunch/dinner, just enjoying sitting down and drinking lots of water. if you ever are wanting to visit nyc, summer is not the best time. there is just no good way to escape the heat. these are my favorite photos from the trip, so i hope you enjoyed them.
i can't believe that i'm only on the second day of our trip! i have so many more photos to edit and share.
well, on our second day we went to the bronx zoo, hoping that it would be a little cooler beneath all of the trees. it was just hot. it was so hot that we were sweating while sitting in the shade. at one point i wish i was swimming with that polar bear (he looks like he's having the time of his life). we spent most of our time watching the handsome guy. we still enjoyed our trip and made the most of it. it was a beautiful zoo.

these photos were from our first evening in new york. after kelsey took us to eataly, we went to get dessert at serendipity and of course had their famous frozen hot chocolate. it was delicious. they were so big that eleni and i shared. we visited dylan's candy bar and walked around while waiting for a table at serendipity. i was amazed how beautiful the city still was even though it was lit with artificial light. it was crazy how bright and lively the streets were.
