jordan and i got back from a five day trip to phoenix, arizona for a friends wedding. it was a lot of fun and my first time that far west! the mountains were beautiful. and it was mostly fun just to get together with friends we've hardly seen since college. here is a group of us from the wedding that i snatched from facebook -- i'll post the rest soon!
the end of the summer, this review starts with our last evening together when i got yahtzee on my first time, and to indianapolis to take jordan to the airport and a visit with my sweet niece. forth of july, and a visit to get barn wood, a gift from jordan, an evening in hamilton, writing jordan, adventures in cincinnati, and a wedding. flowers from jordan, and montgomery, alabama to get jordan. a trip to augusta, kentucky and back to bloomington, indiana. and back to cincinnati for the reds.
from the fort wayne zoo, to bermuda, to the lake, to cincinnati and a reds game, to charleston, sc and then to hilton head island, to a fancy dinner, to chicago and a cubs game, and then to pizza king in fort wayne. we had such a fun summer, and really, really enjoyed the month of june.
we had larosas pizza & udf icecream and it was awesome, and all free! these are some iphone pictures from when we went to cincinnati for a red's game at the end of august. they had over 11 strikeouts and we got free pizza and ice cream. and since jordan and i love a good deal, we couldn't miss out on our cincinnati favorites. so before our three hour drive back to bloomington, at 10:30, we ate pizza in an empty parking lot and grabbed some ice cream and set off. i was so happy to have my blue moo cookie dough ice cream that i didn't even mind driving home while jordan studied. i'll share our reds game pictures soon, since they are doing so well!!
this frozen yogurt was so easy to make. i have to share because it was so delicious.
here is what you'll need: 24 oz. greek yogurt, sugar, vanilla, oreo cookies
mix 1/3 sugar and a little bit of vanilla and yogurt together
(i added the sugar and vanilla to the yogurt container, super easy)
pour in ice cream maker, and follow those instructions
add chopped cookies (about 8-10) to yogurt just before it begins to freeze
about 10-15 minutes in, it will take less time than ice cream would
we made s'mores the other night, and they were so good! we first attempted to make them with candles, but we got a little impatient and decided to make a little fire in are charcoal grill, it worked out nicely!
